The attractive port of Fiscardo, with its beautiful Venetian architecture, lies on the north east coast and looks out to the island of Ithaca. On one side of the horseshoe bay, a sixth century basilica, surrounded by pines, looks down on to the eighteenth century houses, tavernas and café bars, which line the waterfront.
Beaches in secluded coves, below forested hillsides, can be found on either side of Fiscardo Bay. Small hamlets hide away amongst the olives and pines on the hillsides behind Fiscardo. Fiscardo has a scuba-diving centre.
The village waterfront plays host to whitewashed shops, balconies decorated with bright flowers, sleepy café bars, fruit sellers, fishing boats and visiting yachts, varied tavernas and small craft shops. For those looking for a bit more excitement there is just one open-air night club behind the village, which opens till late in August and early September only. The atmosphere of Fiscardo is friendly, intimate and colourful.

Fiscardo is a colourful little port on the north east tip of Kefalonia, 50 kilometres from Argostoli. It is the only village to have survived the 1953 earthquake almost unscathed, and the architecture of the Venetians is in rich evidence
