The sheltered bay of Frikes, a few miles north of Kioni, holds a cluster of beaches and a small village waterfront of two supermarkets, one cafénion and five good tavernas. A small marina accommodates visiting yachts and the ferry to Lefkas and Cephalonia whilst the fishing and hire boats jostle for position at the waterfront beach. This part of Ithaca’s unspoilt coastline has many beautiful and uncrowded beaches. The atmosphere of Frikes is simple, peaceful and relaxed.
An island to discover...
Probably the most legendary of all Greek islands, Ithaca is strangely one of the least known.
