Ares was the son of Zeus and Hera and the brother of Hephaestus. Villa Ares stands on a hillside terrace of olive groves and cypress trees overlooking the sea on the secluded headland of Cape Liakas, a ten minute drive from the sleepy village of Spartia. Dramatic views take in the forested coastline towards Lourdas Bay, across the sea to the island of Zakynthos and up to Mount Aenos.
The villa lies five hundred metres away from Villa Hephaestus, on a lower hillside terrace. The villa has an uninterrupted sea view. A drive of two minutes down a steep track leads to a series of flat rocks by the sea.
Stylish and comfortably furnished interiors open out on to large terraces above the sea, which are bordered by colourful gardens and surrounded by grass lawns. Shaded terraces beside the villa lead to the pool terrace, a barbecue and dining area and a gazebo with the best views.
