Villa Eleni is just a five minute walk from the small and sleepy hilltop village of Spartohori, with its narrow streets of cobblestone and whitewashed houses bordered by flowers. The village has two small minimarkets and three restaurants (two traditional and one pizzeria). A ten minute walk from the village takes one down to the little port of Spilia. Spilia’s waterfront has three tavernas and leads to a sheltered beach of white pebbles, backed by olive groves.
Villa Eleni stands on a hillside terrace of olive groves with beautiful views to the rooftops of Spartohori village and across Spilia Bay to the open sea and the Greek mainland. The villa has a peaceful and private location amongst the olives. Eleni is a modern villa with spacious interiors opening out to a variety of sea-facing balconies and terraces with colourful, surrounding gardens. The swimming pool has a Jacuzzi section and the pool terrace leads to a barbecue area.
Car hire can be arranged but as the port of Spilia is so close, we recommend the hiring of a boat (with outboard engine) to explore the coastline of beaches, many of which can only be reached by sea. The ferry to Nidri, on Lefkas, takes about thirty minutes but with a hired boat one can get closer to Lefkas’ offshore islands including Skorpios.
