For thirty eight years we have arranged holidays for the discerning traveller who wants the guarantees of personal service and high standards. We have been constantly aware that clients are looking for peace and privacy and it is therefore important that this personal service remains unobtrusive.
We try to provide holidays to suit multifarious requirements. Some of our clients look for private hillside retreats whilst others prefer to be close to a small village community. With a few exceptions, life on most of the Greek islands has remained simple and uncomplicated. We feel that these ingredients are important for those wanting to relax and unwind.
The Greek islands have a great variety of things to see and do while you are there. On most islands varied excursions are offered by local agents and one can find sporting activities such as waterskiing, tennis, scuba diving and mountain biking.
On each island within our programme it is possible and enjoyable to explore on one’s own, as opposed to an over-organised coach excursion, and discover deserted hamlets, stone threshing floors, ancient churches, wine and olive presses, unusual flora, simple farms and hidden paths leading to spectacular vantage points.
On Skopelos, our agent George Drossou is able to introduce private parties to the fascinating history of the island’s town with a guided walk and anecdotes based on his family’s long involvement with the island.
On Alonissos, Chris Browne, who has lived on the island for some years, organises a series of walks for small groups wanting to enjoy an educated yet informal introduction to the island’s natural and social history.
On Paxos, our local agent, Thomas Arvanitakis, provides an entertaining and philosophical introduction to the island’s history of olive oil and cheese production.
On Ithaca, Katrina guides a series of walks to introduce visitors to both the real and the mythical Ithaca. Gerasimos, a local farmer aged 85, joins Katrina for the Farmer’s Walk to give his account of the island’s history and culture.
From Paxos and Corfu there are now one or three day excursions to Albania.
From Fiscardo there are intriguing Marine Expeditions and dolphin-watching tours, arranged by a local environmental society.
On Crete our local agents have personalised directions to many of the hidden treasures of the island.
Please ask our island Representatives to provide details of activities available locally.
