Just a fifteen minute walk from Loggos, Villa Hortensia is set back from the road in the small hamlet of Jilios. On one side of Hortensia’s large garden is an old community water cisterna and olive groves hide the hamlet’s other houses on the other side.

The private garden of stone terraces on different levels provides many sitting out areas to find both sun and shade. The terraces are bordered by and interspersed with olive, loquat, orange and lemon trees, bougainvillaea and flowering shrubs. A few steps lead down from the pool terrace to a further garden of fruit trees and vegetables, which can be picked by villa guests.

The villa is owned by Christos and Aglaia, who share the driving of Loggos’ taxi.

Villa Hortensia is well suited to those wanting a simple and private home close to the shops, tavernas and beaches of Loggos. Car hire is recommended for ease of access to other parts of the island or a big shopping trip to Loggos can be taken with Christos and Aglaia’s taxi.

Amenities: Loggos is a fifteen minute walk. A track to the side of the villa leads through olive groves to the beaches of Marmari and Kypos, a walk of fifteen minutes. The beach of Levrechio, just before Loggos port, can be reached within a fifteen minute walk and has a taverna amongst the olives above the beach.
