The access track starts at Lilas taverna in Magazia, passes Babis’ marble workshop and continues its way for five hundred metres through woodland of pine, cypress and olive trees.

There is no passing traffic and apart from the ruins of a few stone houses on upper hillside terraces, the surrounding landscape is comfortingly natural and provides peace and total privacy. The views out over valleys of silver olive leaves and out across the sea to the Greek mainland, are captivating.

The owners have sensitively restored a spacious stone house with walled garden areas to create a comfortable retreat with a traditional island feel but with modern facilities to satisfy the more discerning escapist.

Five levels of hillside terraces, planted with bougainvillaea, oleander, jasmine, hibiscus and fruit trees, connect the house with a hidden pool area and provide a series of crafted garden areas to relax in sun or the shade of olive trees and pergolas. Carefully arranged lighting gives all terraces a hint of night time fantasy.
