Norđoyggjar, being the northern islands of Kalsoy, Kunoy, Borđoy, Viđoy, Svínoy and Fugloy can be easily reached from Eysturoy.  In fact, even if one is based in Tórshavn it is possible to reach the northern islands by road and through tunnel in an hour.  These are islands of legends and dramatic vistas.  Klaksvik is the main town of these islands which boast some of the most dramatic bird cliffs in the world.  Klaksvik itself is a working fishing port and makes an ideal base for experiencing the dramatic sea-cliffs by boat.  The Enniberg cliffs plunge 750m directly down in the ocean – breathtaking!
